Akhir bulan lalu Microsoft telah mengungkapkan bahwa Windows 8 Release Preview versi final akan tersedia pada 31 Mei, satu hari lebih awal dari yang di isukan yaitu 1 juni kemarin.

Pihak Microsoft mengatakan bahwa akan lebih memfokuskan sumber daya yang dimiliki sebelum meluncurkan versi final windows 8, baik dari segi peningkatan proses instalasi, keamanan, privasi, serta perangkat dan kompabilitas perangkat lunak.
Spesifikasi komputer & laptop yang dibutuhkan untuk menjalankan windows 8 :

• Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64)
